It's friday, 9th of July 2010 as I am writing this blog. That means the day before the 18th ISSS (International Student's Summer School) will start. This year ISSS will be in Heemskerk, The Netherlands. For the people who are not known with this event: it is a project where fifty students, most of all from informationstudies, from five different countries (Bulgaria, Lithuania, Germany, Poland and The Netherlands) will discuss one topic for two weeks by lectures and workshops. This year's topic is 'E-publishing'. But ISSS also means getting to know other cultures and people from different countries.
The Dutch team contains this year eight guys, two girls (one of theim Polish) and four teachers.
As I told you before, The Netherlands will be the host this year. Tomorrow it will be a busy program for the Dutch. For example, all students and teachers from different have to be picked up at Schiphol Airport (Lithunaian and Bulgarian students/ teachers) or station 'Amsterdam Duivendrecht' (German and Polish students/ teachers) and check in at the Stay Okay hotel for the next two weeks.
Everyone is at this day (the day before) busy with packing and very excited about this event and can't wait for it to start. On Facebook we made a page that confirms this.
We hope you will enjoy the posts we will place in this two weeks. So see you tomorrow (or a little bit later:) )
